J. Keith Spackler
Chief Executive Officer and General Manager
Keith Spackler is AGP’s Chief Executive Officer, responsible for leadership of AGP’s management team and implementing business and strategic direction. Named CEO in September, 2012, Keith previously served as AGP’s CFO for over ten years and has been with AGP in a variety of leadership positions since 1985. Prior to AGP, he served as an analyst and planner in the grain and futures industries. Keith serves on the Executive Council of the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Graduate Institute of Cooperative Leadership, and on the Board of Directors of Associated Benefits Corporation.
Keith earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri and an M.B.A. from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is a native of Clinton, Missouri, where he was raised on a dairy and row crop farm.
Group Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Scott Simmelink joined AGP in 2012. He was previously employed as Director of Financial Services with Consolidated Container Company in Omaha. His thirty year career also includes financial experience with Compaq Direct, Inacom, Coleman Powermate, and Coleman Company, Inc.
Scott is from Lebanon, Kansas. He has a B.A. degree in Finance/Business Management from Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kansas. Scott serves on the Board of Directors for Associated Benefits Corporation.
Group Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Cal Meyer is Group Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Cal Meyer has worked in the soybean business for 35 years. His career has moved him and his family from Minnesota to Georgia, on to Iowa and finally Nebraska. Career highlights include developing and working with a professional team while building a successful business.
Cal grew up in Southern Minnesota, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Majoring in Marketing and minoring in Economics from Mankato State University. He is a former chairman of the National Oilseed Processors Association and current Board member.
Senior Vice President, Operations
Mark Craigmile began his career at AGP in 1985. He has held progressive positions within the Operations group including working at Mason City and Manning, Iowa facilities.
He was named Senior Vice President, Operations in 2008. Mark grew up on a livestock and row crop farm near Dawson, Minnesota.
Senior Vice President, Refined Oils Group
Dave McCormick originally started his career in 1977, as part of Boone Valley Cooperative, which later became part of AGP.
During his career at AGP, he held merchandising positions in export soybean meal, crude soybean oil, co-products, ethanol, and also managed the Oil Group's logistics and risk management. He was named Senior Vice President of the Refined Oils Group in 2009.
Dave grew up on a grain farm in Iowa and has a degree in Ag Business from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa.
Senior Vice President of Operations
Ernie Kiley is AGP’s Senior Vice President of Operations. Ernie has worked in agriculture for over 38 years including 35 years with AGP. He has held numerous positions within AGP Operations including assignments at Eagle Grove, IA, Mason City, IA, and St. Joseph, MO. He was promoted to Director of Soy Operations at AGP’s corporate office in Omaha, NE in 2012. His most recent position at AGP was Vice President of Operations. Ernie is originally from Eagle Grove.
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Dave joined AGP in 1999 as Corporate Attorney. He was named Corporate Counsel in 2006 and was promoted to Senior Corporate Counsel in 2008 and to Vice President, General Counsel in 2014, and Senior Vice President in 2015.
Dave is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He is also a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he received his Juris Doctor in Law.
Senior Vice President Transportation
Greg Twist has over thirty years of experience in agriculture industry and started with AGP in 1994. He has held positions in transportation and merchandising in Dawson, Minnesota, Hastings, and Omaha, Nebraska.
He grew up on the family farm in Weldon, Illinois. Greg earned a B.S. degree in Marketing from Millikin University, Decatur, Illinois.
Greg serves on multiple committees for National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA), National Freight Transportation Association, National Grain and Feed Association and North America Freight Car Association.
Member/Corporate Relations and Government Affairs
Matt Caswell started with AGP in 2013. Matt has held a variety of corporate affairs roles for Syngenta, BP, and the Iowa Soybean Association.
Matt received his B.A. degree in Political Science and History from Simpson College, Indianola, Iowa and a J.D. from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He is originally from Perry, Iowa.
Matt Bendler joined AGP in 2016 and serves as the Company lead for human resources. Prior to joining AGP, Matt held a number of leadership roles in human resources for the Danfoss Corporation and other industrial manufacturing companies.
Matt earned his B.A. and a Master's degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois. He is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Senior Vice President
Troy Alberts is responsible for leading both the Refined Oils team as well as the Renewable Fuels group. Troy joined AGP in 2010 and has over 25 years of experience in agriculture and the food industry.
Troy is from Cedar Falls, IA. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Northern Iowa and an M.B.A. from Illinois Benedictine University.
Senior Vice President
Chris Schaffer has been with AGP for over 20 years and currently leads AGP’s agricultural products and export programs. He has held numerous marketing positions within the corporate headquarters as well as merchandising positions at plant locations in Sheldon, IA and Eagle Grove, IA. Chris also previously worked for the U.S. Grains Council as Manager of International Operations based in Washington, D.C.
Chris is a graduate of Iowa State University with a B.S. in Ag Economics. Chris grew up on a livestock and row crop farm near Lake City, IA.
Senior Vice President
Mark Sandeen has been with AGP for over 20 years and has served in merchandising roles at various plant locations, including Manning, IA and Hastings, NE. Mark currently leads the marketing activities of AGP’s processing team and coordinates activities with other business groups and departments.
Mark graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a B.S. in Ag Economics and Animal Science. He is the past chairman of the National Oilseed Processors Association. Mark grew up on a family farm in east central Nebraska.
