In late July, AGP hosted three Area Information Meetings for its members at locations in Iowa and Nebraska. The Area Information Meetings allow AGP members the opportunity to learn more about the current business operations and strategy of the company, including preliminary projections on FY 2018 financial results. Many AGP members attended the meetings, representing cooperatives from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Kansas.
Presentations during these meetings featured reports from AGP’s senior leadership team, including Chief Executive Officer Keith Spackler, who noted that AGP is performing at an extremely high level and able to capitalize on available market opportunities in the current fiscal year. “Favorable market conditions, and the efforts of the AGP team have resulted in the outstanding results that the company has and continues to achieve this year,” Spackler reported, “And we are proud to report that AGP’s patronage and cash returns will also be at historically strong levels, while the financial position of your cooperative remains extremely strong.”
Other AGP team members who provided updates on individual business groups, commodity markets, trade issues, and financial information included Cal Meyer, Chief Operating Officer, Scott Simmelink, Chief Financial Officer, Mark Sandeen, SVP Soybean Processing, Chris Schaffer, SVP Ag Products, Troy Alberts, SVP Refined Oils, and Matt Caswell, VP Member Relations.
AGP’s fiscal year ends August 31. Complete financial information on fiscal 2018 will be presented to cooperative members in the 2018 Annual Report along with management reports at the upcoming Annual Meeting on January 17th and 18th in LaVista, Nebraska.
