Throughout its history as a cooperative, AGP has supported the soybean industry through partnership and leadership in national and state industry associations, including the American Soybean Association (ASA), the national trade association for soybean growers. This year we recognize the outstanding contributions of ASA and congratulate that organization as it celebrates its 100th anniversary.

This year, ASA has been celebrating its 100th anniversary year with a series of events. On Aug. 4, 2020, at the site where it all began, ASA is hosting a celebration – this historical “Soy Century” dedication event in Camden, Indiana. 100 years ago, ASA’s founders, the Fouts brothers, Taylor, Finis, and Noah, and growers from six states decided that an organization was needed to promote and develop soybean production. Thus, the National Soybean Growers Association was born in Camden, Indiana, in 1920 (now known as the American Soybean Association).

In addition to this in-person historical “Soy Century” event, ASA will be livestreaming the event online from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. We wanted to share the opportunity to participate in this significant event for the soybean industry with our cooperative members and association partners.
